Kathmandu Valley Trek
This adventure holiday starts in Kathmandu, allowing time to rest as necessary after the flight and to see the city. Kathmandu is a fascinating and lively city, with numerous sights to see, monasteries and temples to visit, places to dine and of course, opportunities to shop.
The trekking starts with a short walk from Dhungen to Thuko Pokhari. Overnight accommodation consists of tents or lodges. The trek continues on to Phulchowki (2,272 metres), Panauti and then Ballthali village. You spend time here exploring the area before continuing to Namobudha and Dhulikhel. This trek involves gentle walking and the pace will be steady and relaxing. There is no pressure to go at any particular speed as the priority is to enjoy the environment and wonderful landscape.
This trek is a great opportunity to see the wonderful Himalayan mountain range, including Mount Everest itself along the way. You will also see many other stunning and spectacular mountains along the route.
Just being in the mountains is tranquil, peaceful and breathtaking. At the end of the trek you take a short drive back to Kathmandu where we allow time to rest, do some more sightseeing and shopping, before your international flight home.
