EVEREST GOKYO LAKES TREK with LOBOCHE EAST PEAK (6145m)

April 6 Depart UK to Kathmandu
April 7 Arrive Kathmandu
April 8 Kathmandu day for preparation, shopping and sight seeing
April 9 Flight to Lukla, trek to Phakding (2850m)
The flight to Lukla is approximately 45 minutes and will give you stunning views. Few realise the scale of the Himalayan mountain range and from the flight there will be views to take your breath away. There will be a leisurely pace in Lukla while kit and porters are organised then a gentle trek of around 2 hours to the village of Phakding.
April 10 Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
After breakfast the trek continues with a steady day trekking to Namche Bazaar. You will get some fantastic views including Thamserku, Everest and Lhotse. This is a tougher day of steeper terrain as you trek up to this famous Sherpa village.
April 11 Namche Bazaar
This is an acclimatisation day. There will be a short walk to the Everest view hotel to take you to a higher altitude. Here you can take in the scenery over a drink on the balcony of a very luxurious hotel before returning later to Namche to rest. This village is a hive of activity, fun and vibrant with bars, shops and lodges.
April 12 Phortse Tenga (3680m)
The trek continues through areas of Rhododendron, conifer and juniper forest. In the spring the flowers are stunning, colouring the landscape with a natural beauty. There will be the first views of Cho Oyu (8153m) today.
April 13 Lhabarma (4330m)
The trail continues steadily upwards passing villages and settlements along the way. The views are wonderful and the pace steady to allow acclimatisation and to take in the beautiful scenery.
April 14 Machheramo (4410m)
A shorter day taking you well over 4000 metres reaching Machheramo. Peaks seen from this area include Cho Oyu, Kantega and Thamserko.
April 15 Machheramo
This is an acclimatisation day when you can take short walks in the area or simply rest and enjoy the views.
April 16 Gokyo
From here you will head for Gokyo Lakes with a slight decent and following the river along side the Ngozumpa Glacier. You will pass several lakes which are simply stunning with the mountains around them reflected in their crystal clear waters.
April 17 Gokyo Ri to Tangnak
April 18 Loboche Base Camp (5850m)
Base Camp is beside a beautiful lake with wonderful views of the famous mountain Ama Dablam.
April 19 High Camp(5850m)
You will be on snow at this stage and probably using fixed ropes depending on the snow conditions. The route to High Camp follows a ridge from where there are great views of the Khumbu and Loboche glaciers.
April 20 Climb Peak (6145m) return to Pheriche
Continuing along the ridge to the summit will be a steady long day. The views are well worth the push to reach this point and once the summit has been reached the group will return to Pheriche (4250m) to camp that night.
April 21 Namche Bazaar
April 22 Lukla
April 23 Lukla flight to Kathmandu
April 24 Kathmandu rest day
April 25 Depart Kathmandu
