Ama Dablam Expedition

Stupa - Ama Dablam climbing expedition, Nepal

Ama Dablam (6,856 metres) is arguably the most beautiful mountain in the Himalayas.  It has a very distinctive appearance and is a challenging technical climb.  A total of eight places are available on this expedition and climbers are supported as required by climbing Sherpa guides.

The expedition starts from Kathmandu and climbers are transported to the mountain region by helicopter.  The trek to base camp then allows plenty of time for acclimatisation.  Climbers must be technically proficient to climb this peak and have an excellent level of fitness.  The climb involves rock pitches, snow and ice and some areas are very exposed.

This remains one of the most popular technical climbs of the Himalayas and a goal sought by many.
